From the museum website: “The Children’s Museum of Stockton is a 501(c)3 non-profit public-benefit corporation dedicated to providing quality education through interactive exhibits. Our facility is 22,000 sq. ft. and currently houses over 40 exhibits. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, educational experience for families within our community.  All forms of  donations are used directly to enhance our exhibits and programming.”
Lots of fun exhibits and hands on learning for the little crew! If your child loves vehicles (from an ambulance to a police car to a helicopter and tractor) they are all on display here to sit in and check out. There are hands on stations for building cars, making magnetic wall slides, and a water table.
Some of our favorites? The little store, complete with check out area, and the toddler area. It’s fenced in and includes a house, just the right size for little ones. The older kids loved the pretend newsroom with a green screen.
Pros: It’s on one level and pretty open, so it’s easy to keep track of kids. There are great themed areas and lots of learning opportunities.
Cons: It’s not very large, so older children might not last an entire day. It’s also a little worn down from all the kids.

If you go: You can pack a lunch and eat outside in the picnic pavilion/playground. There isn’t a snack bar, but there are vending machines in the building.

Memberships are available — Individual ($60), General ($95), and Reciprocal ($150). They’re also able to host birthday parties/events and field trips!
Do you have a fun spot that you’d like to share? We’d love to hear from you!
